S.G.H.S Investigation Protocols and Guidelines
1. Arrive at the client’s site 2-3 hours prior to starting the investigation. This will allow for a team briefing about the history of the site; reported hotspots of paranormal activity; primary emf sweeps of the location; equipment DVR setup etc.. All investigators for the evening must wear their personal ID tags.
2. Interview the client and record their personal experiences and reported activity possibly any potential Health & Safety issues pertaining to the site.
3. Tech team investigators to conduct a series of baseline tests i.e. EMF readings, ambient air temperatures which are to be recorded onto a log sheet.
4. All investigators will aid in the set up of equipment, experiments etc. The setup period could take up to 1 hour depending on the location and complexity of the investigation requirements.
5. All team members are briefed on their role for the duration of the investigation.
6. The DVR system must be manned at all times (depending on group size), except during assigned break periods. The DVR operator will be in radio contact at all times during the assigned “watch” and will log anything out of the ordinary.
7. The investigators will split into teams of two or three depending on location size as required. Each team will have 1 radio.
8. Each team will carry out its assigned tasks e.g. EVP sessions, video documenting, photographic sweeps, emf sweeps etc.
9. Any noteworthy occurrence is to be noted on your log sheet or personal notebook.
10. All camera sd/memory cards are to dumped into the card reader of the DVR system. This is so all evidence can be reviewed accordingly from the central evidence system.
11. After the investigation is over. Everyone helps to retrieve and pack away all the equipment safely, accounting for all of it.
12. We then thank the client for their time.
13. Have a quick team debrief, then vacate the premises.
