S.G.H.S. Mission Statement, By-laws and Standard Operating Guidelines
Mission Statement
To disprove or validate the presence and existence of spirit haunting through investigation.
By-Laws
1. All persons wishing to become an associate member of the Sask Ghost-Hunters Society Inc. must fill out an application for review.
2. An annual membership fee of $50.00 will be charged to all associate members and directors on the beginning of each fiscal year.
3. All associate members and directors are required to provide a current criminal record check at his/her own cost.
4. All associate members will receive a copy of the Non-profit corporations act, 1995; a copy of our mission statement; our By-Laws and our Standard Operating Guidelines (S.O.G.'s). The associate member must sign his/her name upon receiving these documents which will be used for clerical purposes and added to the associate members file.
5. All associate members are subject to a 1 year probationary period from his/her acceptance date as an associate member.
6. All associate members are expected to follow and abide by the Standard Operating Guidelines of the Sask Ghost-Hunters Society.
7. Any associate member suspected or caught disobeying any of the Standard Operating Guidelines or By-Laws will be subject to an internal investigation upon which time that person's immediate dismissal or lengthened probation will be enacted.
8. Any associate member caught performing any criminal act will be subject to immediate dismissal without any appeal. Absolutely no criminal activity will be tolerated.
9. All evidence collected by all associate members is solely the property of the Sask Ghost-Hunters Society Inc. and primarily the property of our client(s). All video, audio, photographic, digital and written documentation collected at every investigation will be deposited in the DVR system (Digital Video Recorder). An SD/M2 card reader is present in the system for this action.

10. All associate members are required to attend all monthly meetings unless they have received permission not to attend from one of the group’s directors. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for non attendance. If there are voted items or issues at the meeting the non-attending associate member forfeits his/her vote. All call must be placed through the Sask Ghost-Hunters Society direct line this number is provided to all associate members.

Standard Operating Guidelines
1. No drugs or alcohol to be consumed during an investigation.
2. No Smoking during the active part of the investigation.
3. S.G.H.S ID tags should be worn at all times during an investigation.
4. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear (dress for the weather etc.)
5. All cell phones should be turned off during the active part of the investigation.
6. Please be sure to supply your own spare batteries.
7. Keep talking to a minimum during EVP sessions. If you need to talk during an EVP session, do so in a normal, clear voice and say who you are.
8. Absolutely NO horseplay during any part of the investigation.
9. Limited provoking of ghosts. Be respectful. They were someone’s loved one.
10. Be open minded we need to be objective.
11. You are responsible for your own equipment. Bring at your own risk.
12. When possible transport costs will be equally split between members traveling in the same vehicle.
13. No Séances or Ouija boards are to be used on investigations. We are a scientific, evidence based group.
14. All evidence gathered remains property of S.G.H.S; this includes video, audio and photographic material. This material must NOT be published outside the S.G.H.S without the absolute permission of the S.G.H.S founder.
